Chester Lake and Shark Mountain, Snow and clouds The creek is from Chester Lake that is currently frozen. The hiking trail is popular by hikers in the summer and falls - this area can be closed due to grizzlies roaming around in this part of Kananaskis. In the winter, you can find two trails, one for snowshoeing and another for cross-country skies. Get there early during the weekend because the parking lot fills up quickly. Enjoy the outdoors because it is beautiful. The Canadian Rockies are majestic and fragile.

Snowy morning at Rawson Lake, Upper Kananaskis Lake, Kananaskis Rawson Lake and Upper Kananaskis Lake Trail is an 8.7km hike to Rawson Lake, and during the summertime, it is heavily trafficked. Even though it is a heavily trafficked trail, it is not rare to see grizzly bears. It is essential to be diligent, make noise and be prepared. In the wintertime, amazing views, lots of snow, and it is usually snowing. The image was captured in November 2021, and there is already an abundance of snow going up to the lake.

About Calgary;
Calgary is a vibrant and cosmopolitan city at the foothill of the Canadian Rockies. The City of Calgary is surrounded by numerous skyscrapers and with new opportunities filling those buildings.
For many years, the City of Calgary hosted large oil and gas companies and was the centre of Canada’s oil industry. The city of Calgary earned it the nickname “Cowtown,” evident in the Calgary Stampede, its massive July rodeo and festival that grew out of the farming exhibitions once presented here. This evening, the City of Calgary was bustling with people making their way to the downtown core. COVID-19 may be part of us, but Calgarians know how to keep the City of Calgary alive.
